The Nukkad Traveller has found another gem that was hiding in plain sight. Yes, you heard it right. Himalaya Fine Art is a shop located opposite JJ School of Arts near VT station and has something for all art enthusiasts!
Professionals, amateurs, students and art enthusiasts from all over Mumbai flock to this store in large numbers. Some know what they want and make a quick buy and some explore at their own speed. From acrylic paint to watercolours to markers to brushes, this shop has it all. They even feature some products from abroad like the Copic markers, Strathmore 300gsm watercolour paper, Gansai Tambi watercolours, Tombow brush pens and more.
They provide extremely high quality products the proof of which can be seen in the simplest of art items (Go buy the Nalanda ruler. You'll know what we mean).
If you don't know your brand or what you're looking for do not stress. The employees are super friendly and will guide you through all your paints, brushes, canvas and the likes.
This place is the perfect spot and a one stop shop to find the perfect gift for an artistically inclined friend. Even if you can't tell how scarlet differs from red, none's the matter! You'll always find help here.
As a traveller on a budget we at Nukkad Traveller understand that it is hard to afford complete sets, especially of international brands. But fikar not friend! They sell single pieces as well. So go ahead, explore and fall in love!
